Emerging Artists Grant
The Anika James Foundation co-sponsors an Emerging Artists Grant through the Durham Arts Council's Emerging Artists Program, which funds a project pivotal to the career of a developing or established performing artist based in the Durham area.

Taretok Child Prosperity (TACHIP) in Tanzania
TACHIP is a Tanzania-based nonprofit that supports the education and wellbeing of children and women in Maasai communities, working alongside the Anika James Foundation to expand access to schooling and address the everyday needs that can otherwise keep children out of the classroom.
TACHIP partners closely with school committees, teachers, parents, and community leaders to strengthen local schools from the ground up. Its curriculum is designed to be culturally sensitive, and it treats parents as active partners in their children's education rather than bystanders.
Support extends well beyond the classroom: TACHIP provides books, supplies, and chalkboards, along with solar panels and water tanks that improve everyday conditions at partner schools, plus hygiene education and agricultural training that help communities build lasting, practical infrastructure.
